Construction of one concrete mini-tank plate for drinking water to enhance livelihood in RUSIZI Plain
The Rusizi plain (Northwastern BURUNDI) is an arid area in villages system. In these villages system, (520,035 inhabitants), only 3% of happy people have access to drinking water. For others, they drink, wash and cook with running water of the river KAJEGE (source of tropical diseases due to contaminated water). Otherwise, for drinking water, young and old ladies (rarely men) should make a 1/4 day of trip by bicycle to go to the tail as shown in the photos below,the reason why,CICOPA-Burundi in partnership with Japan water forum are making the difference to reduce that galley.( Illustrating picture below)
